“Easy 5-Star. Took my CLIMBING SHOES in here (sportiva) because the glue was breaking down, ie not a typical rubber resole when you wear out the toe box or something. They are very experienced at resoling. Instead of just the simple glue they decided to go above and beyond and even gave me a touch up on the toe box/redid it. Gent in the front is also a big environmentalist and great customer service. So win win all around. Taking more shoes here. Tip to owner - add in “climbing shoes” to google somehow or on website. I had to call to find out - spent some time looking for options in north county. Get yourself some more business!”
— Jacob Eurich“I'm writing a review for this shop even though I was not a paying patron, the thing about what motivated me to do so is the fact that even though he didn't have the gear needed to repair a grommet but when I mentioned that I had a kit somebody just gave me but had never used or figured out how to yet then he told me to show it to him and proceeded to figure it out with me and essentially put it on. I was ready to tender a payment or compensation for the time and was told it was no bother, it's little details like this that are missing from customer service in our culture these days - taking the time to listen and try to figure out how to assist somebody, even if in the end nothing can be found for the customer to purchase or pay for as a service.”
— Nojocháak Balam“I brought a pair of boots in for a sole repair, but when I picked them up, they had been given a shine that completely erased their original character. I was not asked whether I wanted this done, and when I expressed my disappointment, the owner was unwilling to offer any discount. He did mention that rubbing alcohol could help restore the original look, which mostly worked, but this could have been avoided if they had simply asked first. Customers should have the choice when it comes to alterations like this.”
— Ingrid“They could have been done a lot better. My climbing shoes definitely look like they were done in a hurry. Also don’t expect any downturn after the resole. They “were” my favorite climbing shoes, until now. Good thing I have other pairs. I guess that’s what I get for being impatient and not shipping them out to Rock and Resole. I’m sure that these shoe cobblers are talented with street/dress shoes, just not climbing boots. $75 for this repair.”
